PERTH — After two storms, the city has declared an Umbrella Amnesty, inviting residents to hand in inside-out brollies with no questions asked.
“We’ve had 400 so far,” said a fictional amnesty officer. “One was still open. It had clearly been through something. We gave it a cup of tea.”
Experts recommend tying down garden items before Tuesday and, in the case of umbrellas, simply accepting the inevitable.
The real story: Fictional.
