TAYSIDE — Monday brings a brief, suspicious calm across Perth and Kinross, described by forecasters as “the weather taking a deep breath”. A real Met Office yellow wind warning covers much of Scotland from 3am to 9pm on Tuesday.

Outlook: Monday, breezy with sarcastic sunshine. Tuesday, Chloe. Wednesday, residual Chloe with a chance of regret. Thursday, everyone pretends it’s fine.

Temperatures will hover around 10°C, which feels like 4°C, which feels like a personal attack.
