KINROSS — Historians have suggested that Mary Queen of Scots might have escaped from Loch Leven Castle much sooner if she’d had the island’s new wifi.

“She’d have ordered a boat,” said one. “Or at least put out a status update. ‘Held captive. Weather poor. Send help and a pie.'”

Visitors have praised the connection, which some say is now better than in parts of Kinross itself. “I came out here to get away from everything,” said one tourist, “and I’ve just had 30 work emails.”
