Perth received several complaints today from tourists who said the weather was “not Scottish enough”, after the city basked in sunny intervals and a balmy 15°C.
“We came for the mist,” said a couple from Surrey. “We came for the drama. We brought waterproofs. We’ve not even unzipped them. Is it always like this?”
Tourism leaders are said to be considering complimentary bottled drizzle for disappointed visitors, or a “Scottish Experience Voucher” redeemable for one fog once next week’s forecast arrives.
A Perth taxi driver offered to drive visitors through the car wash “for authenticity”, at a reasonable rate.

No letters yet. The town is uncharacteristically quiet.
