INCHTURE — A new guided tour promises visitors an “authentic Tayside experience” by taking them up and down the A90 contraflow between Perth and Dundee several times, at a steady 40mph.

“Tourists love it,” said the guide. “They see the Carse. They see the cones. They see a Dundonian eating breakfast at the wheel. It’s real Scotland.”

The tour includes a stop at a lay-by “with a bit of a view”, a pie, and a closing ceremony where visitors are asked which city they prefer, before being driven quickly away before anyone answers.

Bookings are said to be “very slow, which is on brand.”

The views expressed are those of the reader, and frankly that's on them.

No letters yet. The town is uncharacteristically quiet.
