Traffic Cones Across Perth Spotted Wearing Halloween Costumes; Highways Officials ‘Not Amused, Slightly Amused’
One cone on the Crieff Road was seen dressed as a ghost. Another, near Scone, as a witch's hat, which critics say is 'not really a costume'.

Traffic cones across Perth have been spotted wearing Halloween costumes ahead of tomorrow’s festivities, and highways officials have issued a statement that is mostly disapproving.
One cone on the Crieff Road was wearing a white sheet with two eyeholes. A cone in Scone was seen with a black pointed hat on top, which critics say is cheating, “because it was already a pointed hat”.
A set of four cones near the Inveralmond roundabout had been arranged in a pumpkin formation and were “honestly quite impressive”, according to a man who drove past them eleven times in a contraflow.
Officials remind the public that cones are important safety equipment and must not be dressed up. They declined to say whether they had taken a photo.
