PERTH — We remember Heather & Haggis Gifts, a shop beloved by tourists and feared by interior designers.

It sold tartan everything: tartan teddies, tartan mugs, a tartan toilet roll holder that is still in a house in Ohio. It is survived by the Nessie snow globe, which remains unsold and, according to staff, “unsellable”.
