Enchanted Forest Visitors Mistake A9 Temporary Traffic Lights for Part of the Show
Families stop to applaud red-amber-green 'light installation'; one dad gives it four stars.

PITLOCHRY — Visitors heading to the Enchanted Forest light show near Pitlochry have reportedly been stopping to admire the overnight temporary traffic signals on the A9 slip road, believing them to be part of this year’s display.
“It’s very minimalist,” said a father from Edinburgh. “Red. Then amber. Then green. It’s about the cycle of life, I think. And waiting.”
Engineers working overnight on the A9 dualling programme have said they are “flattered but busy”. One added: “If people want to stand and look at our lights, fine, but please don’t do it in the road. The real show’s up the hill.”
The Enchanted Forest has not commented, but sources say they are “slightly worried” by how much people liked the amber.
