PERTH — In a fictional statement, the city’s bins said they would not be standing at the kerb during an amber warning “as a matter of basic self-respect”.

“We’ve seen what happened to the ones who went out on Saturday,” said a blue recycling bin, gesturing south. Residents are advised to keep bins in and check real council updates for any collection changes.

The real story: Fictional.
