Good News: Bridge of Earn Man Returns Borrowed Ladder After Eleven Years, Apologises to Wrong Neighbour
Long-running ladder situation resolved, sort of. Street celebrates with a cup of tea and some careful re-negotiation.

A Bridge of Earn man has returned a ladder he borrowed in 2015, in what neighbours are calling “a heartwarming moment” and “about time”.
The man, who had been inspired by today’s sunshine to finally clear his garage, carried the ladder three doors down and handed it over with a full apology, at which point the neighbour said it wasn’t his.
“I was so sure,” said the borrower. “I’d been feeling guilty about it for eleven years. Turns out I borrowed it from the man across the road, who moved to Crieff in 2018.”
The ladder is now on loan to the neighbour who received the apology, as “he’s got guttering to do”.
Bridge of Earn has declared the matter closed, in the sense that it has been opened in a new and more complicated way.

I’m the man who got the apology. I’m keeping the ladder until someone who owns it turns up.

I think it’s my ladder. I moved to Crieff in 2018. I’ll be in on Sunday.
