PERTH — We remember Spin City Records, a record shop with one listening booth, two staff and an unshakable conviction that you were buying the wrong album.

It is survived by a cardboard cut-out of a pop star who has since become a dad, and a 1987 single that nobody ever bought, still in its rack in someone’s memory.

No letters yet. The town is uncharacteristically quiet.
