PERTH — As protests continue in France and elsewhere in Europe, a small, entirely fictional demonstration took place outside a Perth bakery about the price of a steak bridie.
“We are peaceful,” said fictional organiser Davie Mailer, 71. “We are just here to say that pastry is a human right.” The protest ended after nine minutes when the bakery brought out a tray of samples and everyone went home happy.
