Rain has visited the city every week for 312 consecutive weeks, beating even the man who buys a Scotsman every day.

PERTH — Perth’s rain has been named Scotland’s most loyal customer at a retail awards ceremony in Glasgow, having visited the city at least once a week for six consecutive years.
“It’s a remarkable record,” said a judge. “It turns up in the morning, it hangs about all day, it doesn’t buy anything, but you can’t fault the commitment.”
The rain was unable to attend the ceremony because it was busy in Perth, but sent a statement saying it “loved the city”, “felt part of the community” and would “definitely be back Friday.”
Local businesses say they’d like to thank the rain but also wish it would “see other people.”
