PERTH — Visitors who came to Perth for an authentic Scottish experience have complained after being exposed to sunshine during Thursday’s bright spells.

“We came for the mist,” said a couple from Ohio. “The brochure promised dreich. We got 47 minutes of blue sky. We felt cheated.” Tourism bosses said they would “do better on rain” and that Friday “should make up for it”.

  1. I had an American couple in the café furious there was no mist. I offered them a cold tea to make up for it.
