PERTH — St Johnstone returned to traditional training conditions on Friday — wet, windy, and philosophically coherent — after Thursday’s sunshine left several players marking their own shadows.
“This is football weather,” said a coach. “You can see the ball, then you can’t, then it’s in your sock.”
McDiarmid’s sprinklers rested, redundant.
