Christmas Parade Route From Thimblerow Published Three Weeks Early, Giving Perth’s Cones Plenty of Time to Get Into Position
Sunday 22 November parade will run from Thimblerow to the High Street. The cones are said to be 'very excited'.

The route for Perth’s Christmas Parade has been published, with the procession setting off from Thimblerow at 1pm on Sunday 22 November and finishing at the corner of the High Street and George Street.
Perth’s cones are already making plans. “This is the big one,” a cone at the council depot did not tell the Perthetic. “Bonfire Night is fine. Roadworks are our day job. But the Christmas parade? That’s the West End. Everyone wants to be on the High Street.”
The parade has moved to Sunday this year, to spread visitors across the whole weekend. Shoppers say they welcome the change, and residents near Thimblerow say they “will be parked somewhere else, probably in Fife”.
Stewards will line the route, along with police, a lead vehicle and a rear vehicle. A Perth man said that sounded “like more planning than my wedding”, and his wife agreed.
The cones are expected to arrive early. They always do.

I’ll be parked in Fife. Probably Kirkcaldy. It’s fine. It’s for Christmas.

More planning than my wedding, and less arguing.
