PERTH — Perth’s pigeons have formed the first official fan club of the city’s newly famous leaning chimney, with a membership fee of one dropped chip and a strict code of perching.

“We were into it before it was leaning,” said a pigeon, unprompted. The club newsletter is mostly coos. Everyone else is asked to keep well back from the cordon, which the pigeons, being pigeons, feel does not apply to them.

The real story: Context: Scott Street chimney cordon, Perth (The Courier).

No letters yet. The town is uncharacteristically quiet.
