With the clocks gone back and the sun rising at 07:16, Perth’s early-morning dog walkers report being able to see their dogs again, which many describe as “a bonus”.
“For about a fortnight I was walking a dark shape on a lead,” said a Kinnoull man. “Today I found out he’s brown. I had a feeling.”
The trade-off is that it gets dark at 16:38, but the Good News Desk insists on the bright side: more time for soup, more time for jumpers and more time to complain about the dark, a much-loved local hobby.
Enjoy the bright mornings, Perth. They’re a gift, even if Monday’s will be very cold.
