Westminster Debates ‘Community Resilience’; Perth Notes It Practised All Weekend With a Kettle

Street-level resilience defined as 'one generator, thirty phones, infinite tea'.

LONDON / PERTH — MPs today debate strengthening community resilience across the UK. Perth, having spent the weekend sharing generators and biscuits after Storm Boelo, feels uniquely qualified.

“Resilience is knowing whose kettle still works,” said fictional Blairgowrie resident Jean Fyfe. “And not calling Frank Bob for twenty years. We’re working on that bit.”

Real emergency advice remains: follow official warnings, check on neighbours, and never drive through floodwater.
