BLAIRGOWRIE — A fictional pub darts final went ahead during Sunday’s power cut, with players aiming by torchlight and the scoreboard kept “mostly by shouting”.

“I got three bullseyes,” said fictional champion Billy Soutar, 49. “Or three lampshades. Hard to tell. The landlord says it was one of each.”

Thanks go to the engineers working to restore power across Perthshire, who the pub says can “drink free forever, or at least until Thursday”.

The real story: Fictional.
