GLASGOW — St Johnstone’s 4-0 defeat at Ibrox on Saturday has been put down by fictional supporters to wild weather, the clocks going back and “the stadium just being very big and loud”.
“Our lads were clearly still on British Summer Time,” said fictional season-ticket holder Rab Petrie, 58. “Rangers had an extra hour. You can’t legislate for that.”
Saints host Motherwell on Wednesday at McDiarmid Park, where the clocks are understood to be correctly set and the wind has been asked to blow towards the opposition goal.
The real story: Rangers 4-0 St Johnstone (Sky Sports, 24 Oct 2026)

Was there. Can confirm the wind was blowing towards our goal for the full 90 minutes somehow.

Clocks going back is a valid excuse and I’ll hear nothing else.

Motherwell Wednesday. Bring the wind. Bring Chloe. We’re ready.
