PERTH — The Met Office’s amber wind warning covers Perth and Kinross until 9pm on Sunday, with fairly widespread gusts of 60 to 70mph. Perthetic’s fictional meteorologist described this as “the kind of day where your hood becomes a parachute”.
Real advice: avoid unnecessary travel, keep away from trees and coasts, and expect power cuts and disruption.
The real story: Real: amber wind warning until 9pm Sun; gusts 60–70mph, 80mph exposed coasts.
