PERTH — After a brief period of “dry with bright spells” on Thursday, Perth is looking forward with relief to Friday’s forecast of “wet and windy”.
“It’s like when your cousin leaves after visiting,” said a Craigie man. “Lovely to see them. Great to have the house back.”
Shops are restocking wellies and cagoules, and the council is quietly putting its “Sunny Day — Do Not Open” binder back on the shelf. A spokesperson said: “We got through it. Together. Mostly indoors.”
The real story: Met Office: dry Thursday, wet and windy Friday

No letters yet. The town is uncharacteristically quiet.
