PITLOCHRY — The Enchanted Forest light show at Faskally Wood has brought temporary parking restrictions to Pitlochry, with residents saying a free space in October is now “the most magical experience in the whole town.”
“People pay good money to see lights in a forest,” said one resident. “I’d pay double to see an empty bay outside the chemist. That’s enchanting.”
Organisers urge visitors to use the official parking and shuttles. Residents urge visitors “please, for the love of God, not to use my driveway as a turning circle.”
At press time, one man had found a free High Street space at 7pm on a Saturday, and was mobbed by tourists who believed he was part of the show.
The real story: PKC road closures and restrictions — Enchanted Forest parking restrictions, Pitlochry (to 9 Nov 2026); show runs 8 Oct–8 Nov

No letters yet. The town is uncharacteristically quiet.
