Pumpkin Spice Everything, South Street (October 2026 – October 2026)

The seasonal shop sold everything in pumpkin spice, including, briefly, a pumpkin-spice tyre gauge. It closes tonight, as planned and slightly sticky.

Pumpkin Spice Everything, the pop-up shop on South Street that sold every item imaginable in pumpkin spice flavour, closes tonight after a short but fragrant life.

It opened on 1 October with lattes, muffins and candles, and things escalated quickly. By mid-month it was selling pumpkin-spice porridge, pumpkin-spice shortbread and a pumpkin-spice haggis that the owner described as “a bold choice”.

The low point came with a pumpkin-spice tyre pressure gauge, which customers said “smelled lovely but read 40 psi whatever you did”.

Regulars say the shop leaves a hole in Perth’s nostrils. “I walked past every morning,” said one. “It smelled like a cinnamon cloud. Now it’ll be back to smelling of the bus.”

The owner says she will return next October. In the meantime, the unit will be taken over by a pop-up selling “Christmas Pudding Everything”. Neighbours are bracing themselves.

The views expressed are those of the reader, and frankly that's on them.

  1. The tyre gauge was a step too far. But I did buy one.
