Multiphase temporary traffic lights remain on the A85 Dundee Road in Perth, between Fairmount Road and Kinnoull Primary School, until Monday 2 November.

Commuters say the lights have four settings: red, red, an amber so brief it may be imaginary, and red. “I’ve read three chapters at those lights,” said a Bridgend man. “It’s a long book. War and Peace. I’m on the peace bit.”

Parents on the school run have been seen leaving the car and walking the last bit, which turns out to be quicker.

The Perthetic thanks the crews doing the work and reminds drivers to be patient. It’s only till Monday. Probably.

  3. They said multiphase. I didn’t know they meant multi-year.
