Meet Doug, Who Can Tell Whose Bin Is Whose ‘by the Lean’

TULLOCH — Fictional retired postman Doug Menzies, 72, says he can identify every bin in his street by how it leans.
“Number 4’s bin leans left. Very anxious bin. Number 12’s stands bolt upright, ex-military.” After the storm, Doug returned 23 bins to their owners “without looking at the numbers”.
He is now writing a book, ‘Bins I Have Known’, which he expects to be “the definitive work”.
The real story: Fictional.
