A9 — Fictional roadworks on the A9 were paused due to high winds this weekend, prompting surprise from residents who hadn’t realised any work was happening.

“I drive that road every day,” said fictional Dunkeld commuter Gillian Hay. “I thought the diggers were sculptures. Part of a public art installation called ‘Eventually’.”

Work is expected to resume after Storm Chloe, or possibly the one after that.

The real story: Fictional.
