PERTHSHIRE — A fictional tree-clearing crew working to reopen roads after Storm Boelo has been given so much home baking they’ve hired a second van purely for cake.
“Every house we passed came out with something,” said fictional crew leader Steve. “Tablet, scones, a whole clootie dumpling. One woman gave us a lasagne. In a tin. Still hot.”
The crew says it will continue working through Chloe, “fuelled by gratitude and roughly 40% shortbread”.
