Visitor Levy Consultation Hears Plea to Charge Storms Instead

'They're the ones staying longest and making the most mess,' says imaginary hotelier.

A storm, unpaying.

PERTH — As discussion continues over a visitor levy for Perth and Kinross, a fictional hotelier has suggested the levy should apply primarily to named storms.

“Boelo stayed all weekend, broke a fence, used all the hot water and left without paying,” he said. “That’s a three-star review from me.”

The suggestion has been forwarded to the Met Office, which has not replied, possibly because it was busy naming another one.
