PERTH — News that Bulgaria’s presidential election is heading to a runoff has been met with sympathy in Perth, which says it has been locked in an unofficial runoff with Dundee for half a century.
“The votes are in, the votes are counted, and nobody accepts the result,” said fictional local historian Isobel Rattray. “It’s basically about who has the better bridges. We do. Obviously.”
Dundee did not respond, but a bus with ‘DUNDEE: CITY OF DISCOVERY’ on the side drove past our office slightly too slowly.
