Scone’s ‘Storm Auntie’ Has Named Every Weather System Since 1987 — Officially or Not
Austen and Boelo already in her ledger; she rates Austen 'a solid 7 for drama'.

SCONE — Agnes Reid, 74, has kept a handwritten ledger of named storms and unnamed squalls since 1987, and Friday’s Austen is recorded in fountain pen as “wet, theatrical, arrived on time — 7/10”.
“I don’t wait for the Met Office,” she said. “If it blows the wheelie bin over, it gets a name. Boelo’s next. I’ve already sharpened the pencil.”
Neighbours check her fence before the forecast.
