First a glove. Then a dog. Now the dog has a lanyard. And the A&E is staying open, which, fine, I’m delighted about, but must we all be so pleased about it in public?

This is how it starts. Next there will be a Good News Friday. Then a Good News Sunday. Then I’ll have nothing to write about but the weather, and we all know how Thursday went.

Angus Fairweather is very tired.

The views expressed are those of the reader, and frankly that's on them.

No letters yet. The town is uncharacteristically quiet.
