PERTH — Inspired by a musician who plays Van Halen on rubber chickens, a Perth ceilidh band has replaced its accordion with a set of tuned rubber chickens for one night only.

“Strip the Willow on chickens is a lot,” said a dancer. “Everyone was spinning and squeaking. I don’t know if I was dancing or being attacked.” Organisers say the accordion will return “once it’s forgiven us”.
