Perth Parkrun Overtaken by Escaped Traffic Cone Rolling Downhill
Cone records personal best and new course record; asked for comment, it said nothing, as is customary.

PERTH — Runners at a Perth Saturday running event were left stunned after a traffic cone, believed to have escaped roadworks near the North Inch, rolled past the entire field and crossed the line in record time.
“I was on for a PB,” said a runner from Craigie. “Then this cone just came flying past. I heard it before I saw it. It was making a ‘tock-tock-tock’ noise. Very intimidating.”
Organisers confirmed the cone had not registered and could not be given an official time. It has since been returned to the A90 and is said to be “in great shape”.
