Danish capital's new bathing palace wows architects. Perth tourism chiefs counter with 'nature's own cold plunge, free of charge'.

Copenhagen has unveiled a spectacular new water culture house with ten pools and three saunas, and wellness tourists from around the world are flocking to it.
Perth, which is currently arguing about how to build one pool, has responded with characteristic confidence. “We have the Tay,” said a tourism spokesperson. “It’s longer than any pool in Copenhagen, it’s free, and the cold plunge is included all year round.”
Asked about saunas, the spokesperson said Perth had “a number of very warm buses in summer” and “a back room at a Craigie pub where the radiator is stuck on”.
Wild swimmers in Perth say the Danish facility sounds lovely but lacks authenticity. “Real wellness is getting into the Tay in October and immediately regretting it,” said one. “That’s the Scottish sauna. It’s called a towel.”
The Danes are invited to visit. Bring a flask.
