Halloween Forecast: Mostly Dry, Patchy Rain Later; Ghosts Advised to Pack a Cagoule
Saturday 14°C with rain risk rising into the evening. Witches' hats rated 'water-resistant, not waterproof'.

Halloween in Perth looks mostly dry with a top temperature of 14°C, but the Met Office says patchy rain could arrive later, just in time for guising, which Perth regards as the most traditional timing possible.
“It always rains at seven o’clock on Halloween,” said a Scone dad, sourcing a cape that doubles as a bin bag. “It’s practically a ghost of its own.”
Advice for trick-or-treaters: carry a torch, carry a bag, and carry a second bag for the soggy sweeties. Doorstep pumpkins are expected to “cope”, though forecasters warn a pumpkin’s waterproof rating is “approximately none”.
Overnight temperatures will dip to about 1°C, so any lingering vampires should head home promptly — not because of sunrise, but because it’s Baltic.

Mostly dry is a big word for Saturday. The weans are going as rain clouds anyway, just in case.

I’m handing out apples. That’s more frightening than any forecast.
