PERTH — St Johnstone host Motherwell at McDiarmid Park tonight (19:45), with the Saints on 12 points from ten games and looking to bounce back after Saturday’s heavy defeat at Ibrox.

Motherwell arrive on a poor run; Perth arrives with scarves, flasks and the traditional midweek hope that refuses to fill out a risk assessment.

“Controlled optimism,” said fictional North Muirton fan Rab. “I’ve ironed the scarf. I have not ironed expectations.”

Tickets via the club; away fans in the Ormond Stand. Weather: partly cloudy, about nine degrees at kick-off — flask weather.

The real story: St Johnstone v Motherwell, McDiarmid Park, Wed 28 Oct 2026, 19:45 (club / Premiership)
